Our opinion:

Since its introduction in 2015 the Coleman Cortes Octagon 8 has grown and grown in popularity and is by far our best selling tent.

The Coleman Octagon 8 Blackout gives the features of the standard octagon with the benefit of Coleman's Black-out technology, this helps to block out over 98% of light, but also helps regulate the temperate in the tent. Keeping it cooler in the day and warmer at night.

Coleman Octagon 8 Blackout is a really cleaver design and can be used as a Garden Screen house by simply erecting the tent inner. This gives a 15.7m² mesh screen house with sewn-in groundsheet and a cleaver hinged entrance door. Ideal to for family gatherings especially in the evening when the little flying insects like to come out and annoy. But by adding the flysheet, you convert the Cortes Octagon 8 into a large one room tent, in a style reminiscent of a Mongolian Yurt.

The big advantage of the design is greatly reduced condensation. The biggest issue with polyester tents is Condensation. The Octagon has a huge area of mesh giving excellent ventilation between the inner tent and the flysheet, greatly reducing condensation.   

Its steel octagonal frame is going to ensure this tent will stand up to the weather and looks really nice in its green colourway and will stand out on any campsite. We really like this tent and its unusual hinged door just adds to the fun.
