Coleman Fyrestorm® PCS Backpacking Gas Stove

Our opinion:

A good value cooking system from one of the most respected brands in the outdoor adventure market.

The Fyrestorm® PCS consists of a 1.3 L cooking pot which sits on top of Coleman® Wind Block™ system to help improve its efficiency in windy conditions. The stove features a pre heat loop and Coleman's Hyperflame system to give an improved burn at lower temperatures as well as more economic gas use. The cooking pot has a neoprene sleeve and a lid.

As you would expect the stove and burner store inside the cooking pot, and there is still room for a Gas Cartridge up to a Coleman C300 size. Most of the competitors versions will only store a C100 gas cartridge and these cartridges tend to be harder to get hold of and expensive. 

A good alternative to the brand leader, with a larger cooking pot and some nice features

The Fyrestorm® PCS offers backpackers and trekkers an all-in-one Personal Cooking System; combining the stove, cooking pot, sleeve and lid plus the capacity to store the gas cartridge (sold separately) in one compact unit. Manufactured with the innovative Coleman® Wind Block™ system and HyperFlame® down-step burner, this stove provides superior cooking performance even in extreme wind conditions, rapidly heating food and drinks in the integrated pot. Featuring Piezo ignition for easy match-free lighting and a low burner height combined with a long braided steel hose allows the cartridge and body of the stove to be positioned independently and minimizing the possibility of spillages. The cooking pot has a clip on lid and is surrounded by an insulating neoprene sleeve with handle. Containing 1.3 litres of fluid, the generously sized pot converts into a carrying case for the stove and a Coleman® C300 cartridge (sold separately).
