Our Opinion:-
The Mokala 450 TC is one of our favourites in the Vango tent range. An easy to pitch domed tent. Dome tents are generally stronger structures that Tunnel tents and offer more headroom. The poles crossing over give the tent strength compared to tunnel style tents.
The Mokala 450 TC features a Polycotton flysheet. Being Polycotton the tent will offer a much nicer camping experience. The tent will remain much cooler during the day and be much warmer at night. It will experience much less condensation, the biggest issue in a polyester tent is the condensation. A Polycotton tent is also much quieter. Polyester tents are noisy reminiscent of a rustling crisp packet, even in a moderate breeze. The best conditions for a Polycotton tent are wet and windy, generally British weather, and Hot weather making then the best choice for continental camping.
The Mokala 450 TC features Vangos Nightfall bedrooms to help keep the light out, so you can sleep longer. They are also King-sized bedrooms offering more space.
There is a linked in groundsheet to the living area. This is not a fully sewn in groundsheet but gives the advantages of being removable to make it easier to keep clean and the ability to pack it separately especially when wet.
The Mokala 450 TC front door features a multi-function front door which can be rolled left or right prolled up. There is also an inner mesh door. The Front door can also be put up on king poles as a sun canopy and uniquely roll up sides to give more protection from the elements.
Another nice feature is the rear door, which gives a 2nd door and access to a storage area, which can also be accessed from the inner tent.
A lovely tent for couples or young families, offering good headroom, a flexible front canopy door and a rear doorway. In the TC version you also get the major comfort benefits that Polycotton offers.
