The Kobuck Valley 4 Plus we feel has many advantages of the competitors versions of this style of tent, which is the basic small dome tent with small front porch, that every tent manufacturer offers.

Coleman's Black out bedroom is one of the main features and reason we have decided to stock this tent. In a small tent like this it can get very hot in the day and cool down quickly at night. Coleman's award winning Blackout Bedroom keeps the tent 1 degree warmer at night and 5 degrees cooler during the day, it also blocks out 99% of light.

Coleman also use a Mesh Pole sleeve on the external pole sleeve of the porch pole to prevent wind buffeting as well as a Gothic arch shaped pole for extra strength. The outer fabric has a UV protective coating and a 4500mm Hydro-static head.

A riser PE groundsheet in the porch and fully integrated bedroom groundsheet ensures clean, dry and bug-free camping.

A fabric's waterproof properties are measured using a rating called its hydrostatic head. If a tent has a hydrostatic head of 4500mm it means that a 4.5 metre column of water can be placed on its surface before any drops will show through the underside of the fabric. (The Ministry of Defence in the UK classifies fabric with a hydrostatic head of 800mm+ as waterproof).
