As winter fast approaches make sure to drain down your caravan or motorhome.

If you have seen the price of replacing a tap in a caravan or motorhome then you'll defiantly want to make sure you have fully drained down you unit before the frosts arrive.

Save £££££ by correctly draining down your Caravan over the winter. With the average price of a caravan tap being around £80.00 to £100.00 and remember most are only made of plastic, so easily damaged by frost. That is before you think of the cost of the Hot Water Boiler and damage to furnishing that can be done. On average there will be at least 1 Litre of water left in the pipework after you have drained down using the traditional method of opening the drain down valves. Floe Kits simply use compressed Air to push any water out of the pipework. There is no dismantling of any pipework or fittings.

A Big feature of the Floe system that we do not think is featured enough is the way it also removes impurities, as well as stale and stagnant water trapped inside the system, improving the water quality and reducing the health risks from poor water quality.

OBI Camping was established in Wales over 45 years ago to sell OBI Branded Tents and later Caravan Awnings and Trailer tents. OBI being a Danish Manufacturer

The OBI brand originated in the city of Odense in Denmark (The O in OBI). The 'B' stands for Bomuldes (Cotton in Danish) and the 'I' Industries or Company

The original founder of OBI Camping being related to the Directors of the OBI company in Denmark. 

Starting off selling in the Garden of his house in Rhoose (home of Cardiff Wales Airport) the Business soon expanded moving to Birds Garden Centre in Cowbridge, now the site of Waitrose in Cowbridge. Within a year OBI Camping needed bigger premises and moved to 5 Westgate in Cowbridge, where it remained for many years.

We bought the Business in 2007 making this our 10th Anniversary year. We also moved the Business from the Westgate site in Cowbridge into our current modern unit on Vale Business Park, Llandow 2 years ago re-opening in the last week of June. So this is a double celebration for us.

Lots has changed over the years and we have survived by specialising and using the experience we have in the Camping, Caravanning & Motorhome industry as well as our personal experience of using the products.

For 2017 we are stocking Kampa Caravan Awnings. With some of the must have designs. Kampa use a single inflation system for there Awnings and for 2017 have improved the existing range and improved there fabrics. They also have some innovative new designs including a monster 8m Porch awning, that only requires a caravan horizontal awning rail of just over 4m to attach to the caravan.
